At Power Gen Components and Vegas Fastener, safety is more than a policy—it’s a shared commitment.
As we begin National Safety Month this June, we want to take a moment to recognize the role every employee plays in helping create a safer workplace. Whether you’re operating equipment, moving materials, working in an office, or supporting production behind the scenes, safety is something we all contribute to every day.
National Safety Month, led by the National Safety Council, is a nationwide effort dedicated to preventing injuries and promoting safe habits both on and off the job. Throughout the month, we will be highlighting important safety topics, encouraging employee involvement, and recognizing the everyday actions that help keep our teams safe.
A Month of Safety Activities
To make National Safety Month engaging and meaningful, we have planned weekly activities and challenges focused on key safety topics including:
- Hazard Recognition & Reporting
- Forklift & Mobile Equipment Safety
- Ergonomics & Injury Prevention
- Housekeeping & Work Area Safety
Employees will have opportunities to participate in individual safety challenges, while departments can work together on team-based activities designed to identify improvements, strengthen safe work practices, and promote teamwork.
Participation in these activities not only supports a safer workplace but also gives employees opportunities to earn raffle entries and prizes throughout the month.
Building a Stronger Safety Culture
Creating a safe workplace doesn’t happen because of one person or one department. It happens when everyone stays engaged, speaks up when they see a concern, and looks out for one another.
Every hazard reported, every near miss discussed, every housekeeping issue corrected, and every safe decision made contributes to a stronger safety culture.
We are proud of the progress our employees continue to make and grateful for the commitment they demonstrate each day.
Thank You
As we kick off National Safety Month, we would also like to thank our employees for their dedication to working safely and our vendor partners who are helping support this month’s activities.
Together, we can continue moving safety forward and ensure that everyone goes home safe at the end of every shift.
Let’s make June a safe and successful month for everyone.
