Vegas Fastener Manufacturing provides industry-leading specialty fastener manufacturing capabilities and engineered fastener solutions, producing critical Class A fasteners and custom-to-print components engineered for extreme environments. Our facility combines advanced forging, machining, thread rolling, EDM, and testing technologies with deep expertise in exotic alloys and tight-tolerance requirements.

Product Capabilities

VFM manufactures a full range of standard and custom fasteners, including:

Bolts
Hex, 12-point, penta, flange, shoulder, heavy hex, square, and to-print designs.

Nuts
Hex, heavy hex, finished hex, 12-point, jam, lock, slot, flange, spline, square, and high-profile configurations.

Socket Caps
Cylindrical, flat, button, and hex-to-hex (1/10″ to 3½″ / 6 mm to 75 mm).

Studs
Double-end, taper-lock, full-thread, and tap-end configurations.

All products can be manufactured to IFI standards or per customer prints and specifications.


Hot Forging Capabilities

Our forging department produces high-performance fasteners with exceptional strength, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy.

Capabilities include:

  • Diameters from #10 to 3½″ (5–90 mm)
  • Lengths up to 144″ (365 cm)
  • 20 hot-forge presses (10–1600 tons)
  • Forging of high-temperature & corrosion-resistant alloys
  • Near-net shaping for complex geometries
  • Full in-house tool & die support
  • Pyrometer-controlled forging temperature accuracy

High-temperature and exotic materials are forged with precise process control to meet demanding strength and longevity requirements.


 CNC Machining

VFM’s advanced turning and milling departments produce tight-tolerance (up to .0001) machined components for mission-critical applications.

Machining capabilities:

  • 70+ Okuma CNC turning centers
  • 10 CNC vertical mills
  • Complex geometries & non-standard configurations
  • Precision turning, milling, drilling & threading
  • Single-point thread cutting
  • Tight tolerance machining for aerospace, defense, naval marine, oil & gas, and power generation applications

EDM for Precision Specialty Fastener Manufacturing

VFM’s EDM department provides precision shaping and contouring for geometries that cannot be produced through conventional machining. With 20 sinker and wire EDM machines, we support both high-volume production and intricate tooling needs.

EDM capabilities include:

  • Precision cutting of hard & high-temperature alloys
  • Complex internal shapes, slots, contours & tight-tolerance features
  • Wire & sinker EDM for flexible configurations
  • High repeatability for aerospace, naval marine, defense & energy components
  • Direct Tool & Die support for rapid prototyping and development

Our EDM capacity enhances precision, speed, and part uniformity across demanding applications.


Thread Rolling

Thread rolling provides superior strength, fatigue resistance, process repeatability, and surface finish.

Capabilities include:

  • Thread rolling from #10 to 3½″ (5–90 mm)
  • 17 roll-thread machines
  • Hundreds of dies for UN, UNJ, UNF, UNR, metric, and custom thread forms
  • High-strength rolled threads for aerospace, naval marine, defense, oil & gas power generation & high-pressure systems

Our rolled threads meet or exceed applicable industry specifications.


 Testing & Inspection Capabilities

VFM’s ISO 17025-compliant laboratory supports advanced mechanical, destructive, and nondestructive testing.

Capabilities include:

  • Tensile testing up to 400,000 lbs
  • Hardness testing
  • Charpy impact testing
  • Magnetic permeability testing
  • Nondestructive testing (MT & PT)
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI) of raw materials and finished product

  • Fit-up, alignment & verification of mating components
  • Functional testing through our ISO 17025-compliant lab
